VBD Vacuum Belt Dryer
1. BRIEF SURVEY
(1) Vacuum belt dryer is mainly used in pharmaceutical,chemical,food industry and Sante VBD model vacuum belt dryer's final production can above 97% dry solid content.
(2) Drying between 10 – 60 mbar

4.CONCEPT OF THE EQUIPMENTS
(1) The vacuum belt drying plant consists of the feed system, the vacuum belt dryer and the discharge airlock system, as well as the required utilities systems as vacuum and heating units. The product extract is stored in the feed vessel. The viscose product is feed continuously in the belt dryer by a feed pump (special pump for viscose products) and distributed on multiple belts, which are running through the dryer. The evenly distribution of the product on the belts which is very important will be achieved with the swivel distribution system, which is adjustable to the product
(2) The belts are sliding over the heating plates, where the product is heated up in order to dehydrate it. From the dry end, the belts are running back via return rollers, where the stiff dry product cake is pealed of into the product stripper. The product fragments consequently fall down, through the crushers, into the discharge hoppers. After the discharge airlock system, the product is pre crushed and is ready for further processing (milling / filling / packing / etc.).
The incondensable gases and vapours are finally sucked out also by the water ring vacuum pump.
(3) The dryer plates are heated by a pressure hot water system. The temperature on each zone is adjustable with single temperature controllers for the optimal drying in the different heating zones. The last zone is cooled via a cooling water loop with a heat exchanger. The cooling of the product in the last section makes the discharge of the products possible. (If the temperature is too high, the product is thermoplastic).An auxiliary heating system (hot water) is responsible for heating up the front doors (wet side) the belt dryer end and the discharge hoppers in order to prevent from condensation in the belt dryer and in the discharge airlock system.
